ARTICLE ANALYSIS: THIS STUDY AIMED TO EVALUATE THE EFFICACY OF PRP INJECTIONS FOR THE TREATMENT OF OSTEOARTHRITIS OF THE ANKLE OVER A 52-WEEK PERIOD. The study was a controlled, randomized clinical trial with 100 participants who were randomly assigned to receive PRP injections or placebo injections. The researchers found no significant differences between the two groups in terms of pain, function or quality of life. THUS, THE STUDY CONCLUDED THAT PRP INJECTIONS DID NOT IMPROVE SYMPTOMS AND FUNCTION IN PATIENTS WITH ANKLE OSTEOARTHRITIS COMPARED TO PLACEBO INJECTIONS.
