ANALYSIS: THE ARTICLE IS A WELL-WRITTEN AND COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF THE NON-SURGICAL TREATMENT OF OSTEOARTHRITIS OF THE KNEE. The article also addresses the importance of self-education and patient self-management in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis: lifestyle changes, especially weight management in combination with exercise and hydrotherapy. He recommends the use of cortisone injections for acute symptoms and considers hyaluronic acid or PRP for chronic symptoms. However, he acknowledges that the evidence base for some treatments, like PRP, is still limited.
